Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Wandar ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of Wandar, including free and Pro subscribers. Wandar is operated by Wandar ("we", "us", "our").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Wandar. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Your Account
3.1 Registration
Accounts are created and managed via Clerk, our authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3.2 Username and Profile
You agree to provide accurate information when setting up your profile. Usernames must not impersonate another person, brand, or entity. We reserve the right to reclaim usernames that violate this policy.
3.3 Account Security
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised access to your account.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Free Plan
Free accounts get access to document limited number of trips and have access to core trip-building and discovery features as described on our landing page.
4.2 Pro Plan
Pro subscribers get to document unlimited trips, PDF export, and the AI trip planner. Features available on each plan may change with notice.
4.3 Billing
Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring monthly or annual basis. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on the billing cycle you selected. All fees are in the currency displayed at checkout.
4.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe Customer Portal. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time.
4.5 Refunds
We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at hello@wandar.co within 14 days.
4.6 Price Changes
We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
5. User Content
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you submit to Wandar, including trip itineraries, experience notes, photos, ratings, and any other material ("User Content").
5.2 Licence to Wandar
By submitting User Content, you grant Wandar a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to content that has been shared or remixed by others.
5.3 Public Content
Trips and experiences set to "public" visibility may be discovered, saved, and remixed by other users. Attribution is preserved, any trip remixed from yours will display your username as the original source on the trip details. By setting content to public, you consent to this.
5.4 Your Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the content you post. You agree not to submit content that:
- Infringes any third-party intellectual property right
- Is false, misleading, or deceptive
- Is unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or obscene
- Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Violates any person's privacy or publicity rights
5.5 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we determine, at our sole discretion, to be harmful to the Service or its users.
6. AI Trip Planner
6.1 Pro Feature
The AI trip planner is available to Pro subscribers only.
6.2 AI-Generated Content
Itineraries and suggestions generated by the AI are provided for informational and planning purposes only. We make no warranty as to their accuracy, completeness, or suitability. Always verify travel information independently, including entry requirements, opening hours, costs, and safety conditions.
6.3 Conversation Data
AI conversation history is stored to provide continuity within the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on how this data is handled.
7. Collaborative Features
7.1 Trip Collaboration
Users may invite others to collaborate on a trip. As trip owner, you control who has access and may remove collaborators at any time.
7.2 Collaborator Conduct
All collaborators are bound by these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that anyone you invite complies with these Terms while working on your trip.
8. Explore, Save, and Remix
8.1 Saving Trips
Saving a public trip bookmarks it for your personal reference. It does not grant you any ownership of the original content.
8.2 Remixing Trips
Remixing creates a copy of a public trip in your account without the owner's personal trip information like media, Notes, and more. Attribution to the original creator is displayed and may not be removed. You may edit your remixed copy freely.
8.3 Cherry-Picking Experiences
You may add individual experiences from public trips into your own itineraries, this also doesn't get added with owner's personal notes and media.
9. Milestones and Country Stamps
Milestones and country stamps are cosmetic achievements awarded based on your activity on Wandar. They have no monetary value and may not be transferred, sold, or exchanged. We reserve the right to modify or remove the milestones and stamps system at any time.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service without written permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with any part of the Service
- Create accounts for the purpose of spam, abuse, or harassment
- Use automated means to access or interact with the Service without our prior consent
- Attempt to circumvent any Pro tier feature gate
11. Intellectual Property
Wandar, the Wandar logo, and all related design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of Wandar. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our trademarks, trade names, or logos without our prior written consent.
12. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party providers including Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Cloudinary (media storage), Mapbox (maps), Anthropic (AI), Inngest (background processing), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of these integrations may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
13. Termination
13.1 By You
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion permanently removes your profile and all associated content. Content that has been remixed or saved by others may retain attribution references.
13.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Travel information, itineraries, and AI-generated content are provided for reference only, we are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of content found on Wandar.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wandar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wandar, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
